Using EDI Outbox Processing

1. When you first enter the EDI Outbox Processing option a Partner Using Email or FTP selection box will display the following information for the trading partners found:

• Partner – The trading partner name
• Target – The trading partner e-mail address

Select the Trading Partner from the list by scrolling to the trading partner and pressing Enter. An asterisk (*) will appear confirming your selection. Or, press F9 to tag all trading partners. Press F10 when finished.

2. Command options will appear:

• Run Continuously – Select Run Continuously to continuously process the outgoing EDI Transactions. As transactions are added to the EDI Outbox\trading partner folder with .EMAIL file extensions the system will process the transactions every 30 seconds. Press the Esc key to exit from Run Continuously.

Note: If you select the Run Continuously command option, the system will continually poll the EDI Outbox for outgoing transactions. This will require the screen to be left open or minimized. Some customers add an extra user license to their system to allow for this unattended "user" to continuously process outgoing EDI transactions. This user must be logged out of Net•Yield prior to running the Close End of Day.

• Send All – Select Send All to send all unsent transactions found in the outbox at this time.
• Send Selective Files – Select Selective Files to select specific transactions to send. A selection box will appear with a list of unsent transactions. The following information will display:
  • File – The Net•Yield file name that has not been sent.
  • Target – The trading partner email address.
    • Scroll to the transaction that needs to be sent and press Enter. An asterisk (*) will appear, confirming your selection. Or, press F9 to select all transactions. Press F10 when finished. A status screen will appear with the following information:
      • PRTN – The trading partner ID
      • EDI File – The EDI transaction file name
      • SENT – The date and time the transaction was sent.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Interface menu.

Select Continue to select another EDI trading partner.
